Unit 1 - Building a Reading Life
Reader's Workshop
As readers we use strategies to help us understand the text or story. Reading is thinking and as we read we should always try to make connections between characters, events, and information. Using what we already know, or our prior knowledge, helps us to visualize the story in our mind. These connections make reading meaningful and enjoyable. |
